Tiffany Explains Music Break, Business Journey and Why She Is Back for Good
Ghanaian singer Tiffany has opened up about her decision to step away from music, revealing how she spent years building successful businesses while quietly recording new songs. The artiste says she is now fully ready to reclaim her place in the industry and promises fans that this comeback is here to stay.

Ghanaian musician Tiffany has broken her silence on her prolonged absence from the music scene, revealing that her decision to step away from the spotlight was driven by a desire to rebuild, refocus and establish a solid foundation for her future.
Speaking in a candid interview, the singer explained that after years in the industry, she felt the need to pause, reassess her direction and create stability outside music before making a return.
According to Tiffany, the break was not a sign that she had abandoned music. Rather, it was a strategic move to reposition herself both personally and professionally.
"I needed to step back, go back to the drawing board, do my homework, get my money right and figure out how to move forward properly," she said.
The singer admitted that at one point she felt overwhelmed by everything happening around her and questioned her next steps. She also believed she had entered the industry at a young age and needed time to discover exactly what she wanted for herself.
Despite concerns from fans about her disappearance from the music scene, Tiffany insists she never truly left them.
She explained that while she became less active on mainstream social media platforms, her dedicated followers remained connected to her journey through other channels and personal updates.
"My real fans knew what I was doing. They followed me through the journey. I may be an artist, but I consider myself a private figure. I like to keep certain things to myself," she said.
Building Businesses During the Break
Away from music, Tiffany dedicated much of her time and energy to entrepreneurship.
Today, she owns a beauty supply business and the growing Z Box Bar brand, with locations in Spintex and Laboma Beach.
The singer revealed that her passion for business stems from her love for financial independence and creating opportunities beyond entertainment.
"I like money a lot," she said with a laugh. "I wanted to build something solid."
Interestingly, Tiffany deliberately chose not to use her celebrity status to promote her businesses in their early stages.
Instead, she wanted the brands to grow organically based on quality service and customer satisfaction.
She often worked directly with customers, serving drinks, interacting with patrons and wearing staff uniforms at her establishments.
"I didn't want people coming because of Tiffany the musician. I wanted people coming because the business was good," she explained.
The beauty supply venture was inspired by her sister, who works as a makeup artist. Tiffany saw an opportunity to create a store that would provide beauty products and supplies for makeup students and customers.
The bar business, on the other hand, emerged from her love for music, hospitality and creating spaces where people can relax and have a good time.
Family Remains Her Strongest Support System
Throughout her journey, Tiffany credits her family as one of the biggest reasons for her success.
She described her mother as her pillar and revealed that several family members remain actively involved in her businesses.
Her mother helps oversee purchasing and kitchen operations at Z Box Bar, while her sister currently serves as her manager.
According to Tiffany, although disagreements occasionally occur, they have learned to separate family matters from business responsibilities.
"The people who genuinely want you to win are often your family because when you win, everybody wins," she said.
Why She Chose Independence Over Record Labels
As conversations around record deals continue to dominate the African music industry, Tiffany made it clear that she currently has no interest in signing to a label.
The singer believes many artists find themselves unhappy in label arrangements and often stay because of financial support or a lack of strong teams.
Instead, she prefers maintaining creative control and building her own structure.
"If God gives me the right team, I can pull it off independently," she stated.
She also revealed that she intentionally avoids following trends too closely because she does not want other artists' work influencing her creative process.
"I hear music, but I don't like listening to things repeatedly because I want my own ideas and feelings to come through naturally," she explained.
A New Era of Music
Although she spent years away from public releases, Tiffany never stopped recording.
The singer disclosed that she has accumulated more than 30 unreleased songs during her break and continued creating music from a home studio.
Many of those songs remain unheard by the public.
However, instead of selecting music from her archive, Tiffany chose to introduce her comeback through two brand new songs, "Wura" and "Money."
She described "Wura" as a declaration of her return and a statement of confidence.
The song's title, which carries meanings associated with authority and leadership, reflects her belief in taking control of her own destiny.
For Tiffany, the message is simple.
"I'm the boss," she said.
Her second release, "Money," has quickly generated conversations online, particularly among female fans who have embraced its message.
The singer believes the track speaks to issues many women discuss privately but rarely express publicly.
The positive response has encouraged her to work even harder as she enters this new chapter of her career.
Album Plans and Future Collaborations
Fans eager for more music will not have to wait too long.
Tiffany confirmed that she is currently preparing an album and indicated that she already has enough material to release a project whenever she chooses.
While she has not yet settled on a title for the album, she promised that she is fully committed to music again and has no plans to disappear.
"I'm not going anywhere," she assured.
She also expressed openness to collaborating with more artists moving forward, provided the creative chemistry feels right.
"I'm Back for Good"
As the interview concluded, Tiffany addressed supporters who have spent years hoping for her return.
The singer acknowledged their loyalty and patience, promising that her comeback is not temporary.
With thriving businesses, a stronger sense of direction and a renewed passion for music, Tiffany believes she is entering one of the most important phases of her career.
"I'm ready," she said confidently. "I'm back for good."
